INTERVIEW: JAMES GRIEVE

The Artistic Diretor of Paines Plough talks to Judi Herman about the company’s touring production of James Graham’s latest play, The Angry Brigade, about the 1970s activists who manifested their political protest by planting a series of bombs to cause damage to a series of high-profile London targets. Recorded at Paines Plough, 15 October 2014.

We started off on day one of rehearsals by saying our job is to try and understand what would make an intelligent, articulate middle-class young person plant a bomb outside a politician’s house. What would push you that far?
