The artistic director of BAC (Battersea Arts Centre) talks to Dominic Cavendish about the dire threat of closure hanging over this south London creative powerhouse in the wake of a proposed funding cut by Wandsworth Council.
Because we’re in this funny old, faintly awkward Victorian town hall, it’s created this enormous energy.
