The director talks to Aleks Sierz about Peter Handke’s 1992 classic The Hour We Knew Nothing of Each Other (National), a 100-minute play in which not a word is spoken.
For a theatre audience, silence is difficult, really quite disturbing, but the piece itself is very easy.
