Shahid Naseem, playwright, director and founder member of Ajoka, a theatre for social change that was set up in Lahore, Pakistan, in 1984, talks to Suman Bhuchar about his uncompromising career, and the company’s history plays and political interventions. History has been distorted by the Establishment, so we have to go back to history to understand where present-day problems originate.
