INTERVIEW: MICHAEL PENNINGTON
The star actor, celebrating his 70th birthday, talks to Heather Neill about his role as Edgar, opposite Linda Marlowe’s Alice, in the five-star production of August Strindberg’s Dances of Death, currently at the Gate Theatre in London in a new version by Howard Brenton, directed by Tom Littler. Recorded at the Gate, 10 June 2013.
Edgar does a spectacular dance, which, since Olivier did it, is what you are judged on — 60 seconds out of two-and-a-half hours.
