The Chinese dance supremo, and founder of the Guangdong Modern Dance Company, the City Contemporary Dance Company (Hong Kong) and BeijingDance/LDTX, tells Mary Mazzilli about how to make contemporary dance in China and Hong Kong. He also gives his verdict on dance in the UK. Recorded in Guangzhou, 20 October 2012.

These three companies are all vehicles for independent artists to perform their own works, and they work with many different choreographers.
