The head of the Motley Theatre Design Course talks to Carole Woddis about her career and her current work on Mike Leigh’s Grief (National Theatre). Recorded at the National, 10 October 2011.
I remember Mike being very excited by some drawings I had done of a Ken Campbell pantomime that I’d designed at Stratford East, Old King Cole. I’d painted the set completely myself and it was all cartoons. And he loved those.
