The Hong Kong-based Zuni Icosahederon co-artistic director, who is also an architect, talks to Mary Mazzilli about architecture and theatre, making theatre in Asia, the changes in Hong Kong after the hand-over in 1997, Eighteen Springs (now running at Huayi Festival in Singapore) and what he thinks about experimental theatre in the UK. In the West you have a system where institutionalized creativity allows growth, in the East it is all about the person, the person is the institution. Both have their merits.
