The controversial playwright tells Aleks Sierz about the National Theatre of Scotland’s revival of his 2004 play, The Wonderful World of Dissocia (Royal Court), plus his ideas on how the mind works and why theatre should be more popular.
Because mental disturbance is not a matter of choice, you can’t glamorise it – it’s not as if people will choose to become mentally disturbed.
