INTERVIEW: SEAN HOLMES
The artistic director of the Lyric Hammersmith discusses in detail, with Aleks Sierz, his revival of Edward Bond’s landmark 1965 play, Saved, which features the stoning to death of a baby in a pram by a group of London youths. Recorded at the Lyric Hammersmith, 9 November 2011.
The play is built on silence, and the jaggedness of the play and the experience of watching it relies on that, so we emphasised the silences.
