INTERVIEW: LYNN NOTTAGE. Ahead of Sweat‘s transfer to the West End, the two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Lynn Nottage talks to New York-based critic Helen Shaw about the play and its process. Starting with her research in Reading, Pennsylvania, they widen out to look at the way Sweat was received by London audiences and the parallels between American industrial decline and Brexit Britain. Recorded in New York, March 2019.
