INTERVIEW: PAULA GARFIELD and KATE FURBY
The artistic director and creative interpreter of Deafinitely Theatre, a company composed of deaf and hearing actors who use both British Sign Language and speech to make theatre for a diversity of audiences, talk to Heather Neill about their work, which started in 2002, and their latest touring show, Something Else, which visits Stratford Circus and other venues nationwide. Recorded at Diorama Studios, 10 February 2015.
If we use pre-recorded music, the deaf audience isn’t aware that there is music; if they see music happening on stage, they can engage with it.
