The playwright and director talks to Aleks Sierz about his latest play, Hungry Ghosts (Orange Tree Theatre), which is set in Shanghai and concerns a British Grand Prix racing driver and his relationships with Chinese party members and reformers. Recorded at the Actors Centre.
I wanted to highlight some of the problems in Communist China, but also to show how corporate Europe is no better in some respects.
